Dhaka stocks going up

The Dhaka stocks surged in the first three hours of trading today after experiencing a fall yesterday.

The DSEX, the benchmark index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), gained 38 points, or 0.55 per cent, to 6,971 until 1 pm.

At the DSE, 197 stocks advanced, 115 fell and 64 remained the same.

The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also was in a rising trend. The CASPI, the main index of the CSE, surged 114 points, or 0.56 per cent, to 20,426.

Among traded 253 stocks, 130 rose, 90 fell and 33 remained unchanged.
