Berger Paints' profit soars

Berger Paints Bangladesh, a listed paint maker, registered increased sales and profits in the nine months beginning from April 2021 of the financial year ending on March 31.

Berger's net revenue surged 41 per cent to Tk 1,607 crore in the three quarters, according to the company's financial statements.

Net profits of Berger Paints rose 19 per cent to Tk 200 crore in April to December period of the current financial year.

In the same period, the company's earnings per share stood at Tk 43.18, up from Tk 36.03 the same period a year ago.

The listed multinational company recommended 300 per cent interim cash dividend for its shareholders.

Dividend will go to those investors who will hold shares of Berger on February 17 of 2022, according to the company.
