BASIS SoftExpo draws 1 lakh visitors in four days
BASIS expected around 50,000 visitors this year
This year's BASIS SoftExpo 2023 has drawn nearly 1 lakh visitors in four days, according to Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS).
Apart from general visitors, policymakers, ICT business leaders, national and international speakers, influencers, and motivators take part in the fair's different programmes, BASIS leaders told The Daily Star.
"Our expectation was to attract 50,000 visitors. But, over 90,000 visitor cards have been distributed in the four-day fair. But numerous people entered the fair without cards," said Russell T Ahmed, president of BASIS.
The expo ended on February 26.
Over 200 stalls were set up at the expo at Bangladesh-China Friendship Exhibition Centre in the capital's Purbachal, where local companies and organisations displayed their ICT capabilities.
