Bangladesh Bank has asked all banks to continue their operations on a limited scale from April 21 to April 28 during the extended period of the ongoing lockdown to curb the Covid-19 infections.

Clients will be allowed to do banking activities from 10 am to 1 pm. However, branches will remain open till 2:30 pm for completing their regular procedures, according to a circular issued by the central bank today.

The decision of the banking watchdog came hours after the government issued a circular today extending the ongoing lockdown for another week beginning from tomorrow amid the rise in Covid-19 infections and deaths.
