Banglalink clocks 11.6% revenue growth in Q3

Banglalink's revenue rose 11.6 per cent year-on-year to Tk 1,379.5 crore in the third quarter of 2022, on the back of data revenue.

A 21.4 per cent year-on-year data revenue growth and a 6.4 per cent year-on-year subscriber-base growth contributed to the sustaining consistent performance, said the mobile phone operator in a press release today.

With this, Banglalink posted double-digit revenue growth in two consecutive quarters.

Its parent company Veon published the latest quarterly results of Banglalink today.

Erik Aas, chief executive officer of Banglalink, said, "The consistent double-digit revenue growth confirms the customer's recognition of our increased network footprint and service quality across the country."

"Thanks to this, Banglalink also succeeded in increasing its revenue market share in the third quarter of 2022."

Banglalink's recent 4G expansion drive has resulted in the nationwide availability of its fastest network and quality digital services, said the press release.

More than 3,400 new base transceiver stations of Banglalink have been built in the last 10 months. Thanks to the continued effort, its 4G subscriber base expanded by 31.7 per cent to 1.5 crore.

Along with launching next-generation 4G using time division duplex technology as the first operator in the country, Banglalink has expanded its network coverage in the Chattogram region by 50 per cent recently.

Toffee, Banglalink's digital entertainment platform, also witnessed consistent growth in the July-September period. Its monthly user base stood at 70 lakh at the end of the quarter, added the press release.
