Amtob urges govt to reconsider demands on telecom taxation

The leaders of the Association of Mobile Telecom Operators of Bangladesh (Amtob) expressed worries today as the government did not include any of their recommendations in the proposed national budget for 2021-22 fiscal year.

Now, they have urged the government to reconsider their recommendations related to taxation in the telecom industry.

They spoke at a post-budget virtual press briefing.

Amtob Secretary General Brig Gen SM Farhad (Retd); Taimur Rahman, chief corporate and regulatory affairs officer of Banglalink; Hossain Sadat, director and head of public and regulatory affairs of Grameenphone, and Shahed Alam, chief corporate and regulatory officer of Robi, attended the event.
