Japan to provide $1831m in 6 development projects

Japan will provide USD 1,831 million to Bangladesh under the Official Development Assistance (ODA) loan package for six development projects in the country.

Kazi Shofiqul Alam, secretary of Economic Relations Division of the Finance Ministry, and Takatoshi Nishikata, chief representative of Japan International Cooperation Agency (Jica), signed an agreement in this regard on behalf of the both sides at a ceremony in Dhaka today, said a finance ministry press release.   

The economic relations division secretary also signed the Exchanges of Notes with Hiroyasu Izumi, Ambassador of Japan to Bangladesh for the same projects, added the release.
