Expos on food, agro begin in Dhaka

Three international expositions on food, agro, poultry, livestock and agro chemical began in Dhaka yesterday.

Md Qamrul Islam, food minister, inaugurated the four-day events titled “Third Food and Agro Bangladesh International Expo 2018”, “Third Agro Chem Bangladesh Expo 2018” and “Third International Poultry and Livestock Expo 2018” at International Convention City Bashundhara.

Around 130 exhibitors from Thailand, Indonesia, the USA, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, India, China, Russia, Vietnam and Bangladesh are taking part in the shows, said Meherun N Islam, group president and managing director of Cems Global, the organiser.

Agents, distributors, importers, trading companies, wholesalers, retailers of different sectors along with hotels, business representatives and consumers are attending the events.

The shows will remain open for visitors from 10:30am to 8:30pm every day.
