Fahim Islam of MetLife now a certified actuary

Fahim Islam has recently been certified as an associate member of the Society of Actuaries (SOA) of USA.

The certification made Islam an actuary, who plays a major role in life insurance product designing and pricing, valuation of assets and liabilities, solvency analysis, mortality and morbidity analysis and continuous financial monitoring.

Islam joined MetLife in 2010 and is currently leading the company's actuarial department in Bangladesh.

He completed his MSc from the Department of Physics under Dhaka University and later an MBA from the Institute of Business Administration of the same university.
