‘Bangladesh’s future shouldn’t be measured through Sri Lanka’s situation’

Planning Minister MA Mannan today said that measuring and assessing the economic future of Bangladesh through Sri Lanka's ongoing financial crisis cannot be acceptable.

He said this in response to a question at a press conference following the Ecnec meeting today (April 5, 2022).

"The socioeconomics realities of the two countries are different. They will evaluate theirs, we will manage our economy carefully. We are doing what is needed for Bangladesh," the minister said.

"However, we are looking at diverse opinions carefully," he added.
