Automation adds value to work process, speakers say at ICAB event

Technology has a great influence on the working environment especially during this pandemic time as people are now being able to work remotely instead of their physical presence at the workplace, speakers said at a virtual programme today.

And in this new normal situation, the information and communication technology (ICT) has enhanced the efficiency of officials and smoother the operational procedure of organisations, they said.

They were speaking at the inaugural ceremony of "Automation of Best Presented Accounts & Reports Awarding Process" organised by the Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB). 

Information Minister Muhammad Hasan Mahmud addressed the ceremony as the chief guest where ICAB President Mahmudul Hasan Khusru among others addressed the programme.

In his welcome speech, Khusru said that ICAB has already introduced a web-based "Document Verification System (DVS)" which will enhance the transparency of financial information of organisations.
