Bangladesh to get PayPal Oct 19

PayPal services, an international gateway for online payment, will be available to Bangladeshis from October 19.

State minister for ICT Division Zunaid Ahmed Palak today confirmed the matter to The Daily Star.

PayPal Holdings, Inc is an American company operating a worldwide online payments system that supports online money transfers and serves as an electronic alternative to traditional paper methods like checks and money orders.

The services of PayPal will be available at nine banks including Sonali Bank and Rupali Bank, Bangla daily Prothom Alo reports.

Information and Communication Technology Adviser to the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina Sajeeb Wazed Joy will inaugurate the service on the second day of the ICT Expo-2017, according to Prothom Alo.
