BSF-wounded Bangladeshi dies in Rangpur

A Bangladeshi cattle trader succumbed to his injuries this evening after being shot by Indian Border Security Force (BSF) at Balarhat border area in Kurigram district on April 18.

The deceased Samsul Haque, 32, son of Kismat Ali of Balatari village of Naodanga under Phulbari upazila died at around 6:00pm at Rangpur Medical College Hospital, reports our Kurigram correspondent.

Shamsul Haque came under gun attack by BSF at Natkobari in Coach Bihar of West Bengal State at early hours on Friday while going to India with his associates to bring cattle, said Balarhat BOP camp sources of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) in Kurigram.

Critically bullets wounded on his head and back side, he was rushed to RMCH at the morning.

Habildar Shafi of Balarhat BOP camp said a flag meeting was held on Friday in that connection in commanding officer level of the both countries on no-man’s land of the border.
