BPL resumes today

BPL resumes today

The 7th Bangladesh Premier League resumes after a three-day break following the 10th parliamentary elections when Sheikh Jamal DC take on Brothers Union at the Bangabandhu National Stadium today.
Federation Cup champions Sheikh Jamal DC are in second position of the 10-team table with three points from one match and they will be looking to join the leaders Sheikh Russel KC by posting their second victory in as many matches.
However, Brothers Union will not be easy opponents for Sheikh Jamal, who have managed only two victories in their six meetings of the professional football league so far while losing once. The other three matches ended in draws.
Captain Mamunul Islam may return to the starting eleven for Sheikh Jamal after missing the first match against Chittagong Abahani due to knew injury but lethal forward Sony Norde is still not certain for today's match as he is nursing a hamstring injury.
A depleted Brothers Union put on an excellent performance against four-time champions Abahani, but were unlucky to have lost the match 1-0.
