Botched attempt to loot Sonali Bank vault in Sreemangal

Robbers made an abortive attempt to loot a vault at Sonali Bank’s Sreemangal branch in Moulvibazar early today.
“Unidentified men had tried to loot the vault by cutting the window grills of the bank on the first floor of a three-story building at Sonali Market of Habiganj Road in the upazila,” said Ashish Deb Roy, manager of the branch.
The attempt has however been captured by the closed-circuit camera of the bank, he told our Moulvibazar correspondent.
“But none has been arrested so far,” said Md Abdul Jalil, officer-in-charge of Sreemangal Police Station.
