Book fair on Bangabandhu in London

A three-day book fair, titled Bangabandhu Boi Mela, began on October 25 at the London College of Advanced Studies, London. The event is being jointly organised by the Bangabandhu Centre London and European College of Law & Centre for Bangladesh Studies, UK, according to a press release.

The fair aims to shed light on the illustrious life and works of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, through showcasing hundreds of books written on the great leader.

Cultural Affairs Minister Asaduzzaman Noor inaugurated the event as chief guest. He said the objective of the fair was to spread the message and philosophy of Bangabandhu among the youths and introduce them with the leader's struggle and sacrifice.

The fair features 190 titles written on the leader, including a number of rare titles. In addition, the event also has a children's corner, where books aimed at younger audiences are available.

Besides the fair, a cultural programme featuring poetry and
songs is also scheduled to take place.
