Bomb kills Krishak League leader in Dhaka

A local leader of Krishak League, a front organization of the ruling Awami League, was killed and five others were injured in a crude bomb blast at Islambagh in the old part of Dhaka this afternoon.
The deceased was identified as Krishak League’s joint general secretary of Ward No. 24 in Chawkbazar area.
Police said a crude bomb was hurled at Eidgah ground of Islambagh around 4:30pm when local arbitration was going on there. Independent lawmaker Haji Mohammad Selim was also present there.
The injured were rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where doctors declared Idris dead, a policeman at DMCH camp told The Daily Star.
