BNP leader Nadim Mostafa remanded

A Dhaka court today placed former BNP lawmaker Nadim Mostafa on a four-day remand in a bomb blast case filed with Gulshan Police Station.
Metropolitan Magistrate Md Asaduzzaman Noor passed the order after Gulshan police produced Nadim before the court with a 10-day remand prayer.
The case was filed following a crude bomb blast in front of a house in the capital’s Gulshan area on January 10.
Nadim, also BNP president of Rajshahi district, was picked up from his Gulshan residence in Dhaka early today.
A joint team of Detective Branch and Rapid Action Battalion detained him around 4:00am, said Shamsuddin Didar, staff of BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia’s press wing.
