BJP chief phones Khaleda, inquires about health condition

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President Amit Shah last night phoned BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia and inquired about her health condition following pepper spray used by police when she was waiting inside her Gulshan office Monday afternoon.

“At 10:30pm of Wednesday, Amit Shah telephoned madam, inquired about her physical condition and prayed for her early recovery,” Khaleda’s Press Secretary Maruf Kamal Khan Sohel said this evening.

Speaking at a press briefing at the BNP chief’s Gulshan office, Sohel said she thanked the Indian governing party chief for calling her. 

Sohel also said the BNP chief is getting better today.
