A powerhouse on the small screen

Prominent actress of the small screen, Bijori Barkatullah has won many hearts over the years.
In 1988, she made her TV debut with “Sukher Chharpatra” produced by her father Barkatullah. Her play “Oh Boy” became hugely popular.
After a long break, Bijori appeared in the popular BTV play “Kothao Keu Nei”. It was her first drama serial and a very successful one at that.
Later, she acted in “Megh Kalo” with Mahfuz Ahmed, directed by Abdus Sattar.
She also gained vast popularity as a model and dancer.
Bijori recently acted in a play based on the epic movie “Jibon Theke Neya” by Zahir Raihan. She played the role of Rupa in the drama directed by Faisal Rajib. The actress said the project added a new dimension to her career.
For the last few weeks, her new drama serial “Batighar” has been airing on Banglavision. Here she plays a teacher from a small town.
Apart from this, she has played a journalist in another serial “Corporate” on NTV.
Bijori has also emceed a show “Mukh o Mukhorata” on Desh TV for over three years.
Now she is open to the idea of doing films as well. Though she loves to dance, she can hardly manage time for it, she says.
Bijori got married to popular actor Intekhab Dinar recently. The couple watch movies or go travelling whenever they have free time.
