Bashir Ahmed remembered at Shilpakala

Music and Dance Department (MDD) of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (BSA) organised a discussion and a musical soiree in memory of recently deceased eminent singer Bashir Ahmed on May 11.
Noted composers Ali Hossain and Sheikh Sadi Khan were the discussants while director of MDD Sohrabuddin delivered the welcome address while DG of BSA Liaquat Ali Lucky presided over.
A musical programme followed where singers performed songs, recorded and composed by Bashir Ahmed.
Mamun Zahid Khan rendered “Tomar Kajol Kesh Chhoralo Boley” and “Anek Sadher Moyna Amar”. Dinat Jahan Munni sang “Katha Bolo Na Bolo” and “Phuler Mala Poriye Dilem”.
Noted singer Subir Nandi presented “Amakey Poratey Jadi” and “Dekona Amarey Tumi”. Dithi presented “Ei Boishakh-e” and “Khunjey Khunjey Janam Gelo”.  Mehedi sang two songs “Chokh Pherano Jaye Go” and “Sajani Go Bhalobeshey Eto Jwala”. Singer Momin wrapped up the soiree with the rendition of “Pinjor Khuley Diyechhi”.
