Bank officer's house robbed in Bagerhat

A bank officer's house was robbed in Bagerhat's Fakirhat upazila early today.

Around five to six robbers broke into the house of Maruf Billah, an officer of Islami Bank Ltd Pirojpur branch, at Paikpara village in the upazila this morning.

They stole gold ornaments weighing around three tolas (1 tola is equivalent to around 10gms of gold) and Tk 50,000 in cash from the house, reports our Bagerhat correspondent quoting the bank officer.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Fakirhat Police Station Abu Said Khairul Anam said they are investigating the matter.
