Shafiqul lslam has recently been appointed the chief operating officer of Banglalion, the broadband wireless internet service provider said in a statement yesterday.
Islam has 16 years of experience with different companies in the telecom industry and served as the chief technology officer of Augere Wireless Broadband Bangladesh (Qubee) and GrameenPhone prior to joining Banglalion.
lnternet has to be reliable and fast for effective competition on the international level and Banglalion is working to ensure that in Bangladesh, lslam said.
“We are confident that Islam has the right qua-lifications for strengthe-ning Banglalion's position," said Abdul Mannan,
chairman of Banglalion Communications Ltd.
