Tasnima Tarannum Karishma, 26, a Bangladeshi national has been selected for the final round of the international beauty contest World Muslimah Awards 2014.

Indonesia hosted the 4th World Muslimah Awards. About 25 finalists from around the world compete in the final round of the programme.

In conjunction of World Muslimah Award, WMForum held for the first time on November 19 at Grand Ballroom East Parc Hotel in Yogyakarta in Indonesia.

According to the organiser website, one of highlight of the award programme this year is The World Muslimah Forum.

It is an international platform, looking at major social, culture and economic issues from Muslim woman’s perspectives, the organiser claimed.

The Forum seeks to give voice to leading women to share the views and topics to bring more understanding how to redefining the key role model of women in Muslimah’s (Muslim women) perspective.

The contestants, aged 18 to 27, will be judged, among other things, by their intelligence in reciting Al Quran and how they wear their hijabs.

In her profile, Tasnima a resident of Chittagong and completed her MBBS course from Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital.

Tasmia, now stood at apex point with1355 votes. Her rival, Ben Guefrache Fatma (Tunisia) got 1143 votes.

The winner of Special Online Category is determined by the number of voters in an online polling conducted during the auditions to the grand final. The award is given to the winner of The Most Favorite World Muslimah (you have until 21st November, to vote).
