Islamic Solidarity Games: BD to send 31-man team

Bangladesh will take part in 4th Islamic Solidarity Games which is scheduled to be held in Baku, Azerbaijan from May 12 to 22, an official of Bangladesh Olympic Association informed.

Some 31 athletes will be taking part in eight disciplines -- shooting, weightlifting, swimming, wrestling, gymnastics, athletics, karate and zurkhaneh -- as the preparation of the games has already started from January in different venues.

Bangladesh won a silver medal in archery and a bronze medal in taekwondo in the 3rd Islamic Solidarity Games which was held in Indonesia in 2013.
