Sylhet jolted by earthquake again

A mild earthquake jolted Sylhet this evening.

The magnitude of the earthquake was 3.8 on the Richter scale, with the epicenter in the Sylhet zone, but it was felt only in one centre. Therefore, the core and depth of the earthquake have not been confirmed yet, Sylhet Meteorological Department meteorologist Saeed Chowdhury told The Daily Star today.

The tremor was felt at 6:30 pm, according to our Sylhet correspondent.

Prior to this, Sylhet experienced 4 tremors on May 29 and another on May 30.
