Royal Nepal Airlines plane makes emergency landing at Ctg airport

An aircraft of Royal Nepal Airlines made an emergency landing at Chattogram's Hazrat Shah Amanat International Airport due to a technical problem.

The aircraft (Flight 401) made an emergency landing on its way from Kathmandu to Bangkok around 5:30pm today, Wing Commander Taslim Ahmed, director of the airport, told The Daily Star.

There were 159 passengers including the pilot and cabin crew in the flight.

All preparations were made when the pilot communicated with the control tower of the airport requesting emergency landing.

The aircraft departed Chattogram Int Airport for Bangkok at 10:30pm after Royal Nepal's technical team fixed the glitch, Wing Commander Taslim Ahmed, told The Daily Star.

Royal Nepal Airlines does not operate in Bangladesh. None of the passengers of this flight were Bangladeshis, said the director of the airport.
