Return to Dhaka after ‘lockdown’ ends: Mayor Taposh to homegoers

Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) Mayor Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh has urged people, who left for their villages to celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr with families, to return to Dhaka after the ongoing restrictions are lifted.

He made the request while exchanging greetings after attending the first Eid Jamaat at Baitul Mukarram National Mosque this morning.

Taposh said, "Those who are outside Dhaka to celebrate Eid with their parents and families, I request you to return to Dhaka as soon as the restrictions are lifted."

He also urged people to follow health safety rules as "we're celebrating Eid amid the Covid-19 pandemic".
