Dhaka, 3 other districts to experience gas shortage till May 15

Consumers will experience gas shortage or low-pressure related issues in different areas of Dhaka, Tangail, Narsingdi and Manikganj from today till May 15, due to maintenance work on the national gas transmission grid.

A press release of Titas Gas Transmission and Distribution Company Ltd said gas supply will remain either completely or partially off from Ashuganj gas compressor station from 6:00am today (May 10) to 10:00pm on May 15 for emergency maintenance work and also for capacity enhancement of the national gas grid.

Gas supply will be suspended from Bibiyana gas field and Bangura Gas field on the day of Eid-ul-Fitr and the next day, Titas Gas Company said, adding that this will lead to low gas supply in Elenga, Tangail, Narsingdi, Joydevpur, Dhanua, Aminbazar, Savar, Manikganj, Madhabdi, Bhulta, Araihazar, Tarabo and adjoining areas.
