Secondary schools, colleges to reopen on May 23: Dipu Moni

All secondary schools and colleges across the country will reopen on May 23, after the Eid-ul-Fitr, Education Minister Dipu Moni said this evening.

The announcement on in-person classes at all schools and colleges throughout the country came through a press statement.

The decision has been taken during a meeting with National Technical Advisory Committee on coronavirus today, the statement said.

However, online classes will continue during the closure of the institutions, it added.

After a year of closure due to the pandemic, and significant academic losses, the government on February 27 announced that all schools and colleges will be reopening on March 30.

All school teachers and employees were asked to be vaccinated before resuming the classes.
