Admission to 20 public universities: Primary application process to begin April 1

The primary application process of twenty public universities for uniform admission tests will begin from April 1 and will continue till April 15.

The decision came at a meeting of the committee comprising the vice-chancellors of the cluster universities held in the meeting room of Jagannath University, said a press release issued by Jagannath University.

According to the press release, students do not have to pay any fee for the initial application. Those who have passed HSC and equivalent examinations in 2019 and 2020 will be able to apply. But, students must have a minimum total of GPA 8 (SSC and HSC) for science group while minimum GPA 7.5 (SSC and HSC) for the commerce group and minimum GPA 7 ( SSC and HSC) for the humanities group. Students of each group must have a minimum GPA 3.5 in SSC and HSC examinations separately.

The results of the students, who are eligible to participate in the admission tests, will be informed on April 23 through a mobile message. Initially, selected students will be able to submit a final application for participation in the admission tests from April 24 to May 20 by depositing Tk 500 through mobile banking service.

Applicants will be able to download their admission card form from June 1 to June 10 and the admission test will start from June 19, said the release.

Details about the admission tests will be informed through the admission related web site www.gstadmission.org, www.gstadmission.ac.bd and national dailies, added the press release.
