3 killed in Pabna road accident

At least three people were killed and six others were injured as a banana-laden truck overturned in Ishwardi upazila of Pabna last night.

The victims were identified as banana traders Jabbar Pramanik, Motiar Shah and Shukur Ali. They were all aged 45 to 50, reports our correspondent quoting Md Asaduzzaman, officer-in-charge of Ishwardi Police Station.

The accident took place around 11:40pm as the Dhaka-bound banana-laden truck coming from Laxmikunda overturned near Char Gargari Alhaz Moar area after its driver lost control over the wheels, the OC said.

The three men were killed on the spot. The injured have been admitted to Pabna General Hospital in critical condition.
