3 people with Covid-19 like symptoms die in Khulna

Three people showing symptoms of coronavirus died at the Flu Corner of Khulna Medical College Hospital early today.

The deceased are -- MZ Ferdous (40) of Khalishpur, Harun Sheikh (55) of Bagmara, and Babu (45) of Rayermahal in Khulna Sadar.

Dr Mizanur Rahman, resident medical officer (RMO) and also the focal person of the flu corner, said Ferdous died one hour after he was admitted at the hospital, at around midnight.

He was suffering from fever, cough and breathing complications, the doctor said.

Harun was admitted at the hospital early yesterday and died at 1:20am, he said, adding that the patient also had various symptoms including breathing problems and fever.

Another deceased, Babu, was undergoing treatment at the hospital's flu corner since early Tuesday.

He had also Covid-19 like symptoms, Dr Mizanur said.

Later he was referred to the ICU when his condition deteriorated but died around 4:00am today, he added.

Samples of the these three people have been collected for coronavirus test.

Till yesterday, there were 1,322 Covid-19 positive patients in Khulna. Of them, 18 coronavirus patients died and another 68 people died with coronavirus-like symptoms.
