The Supreme Court today placed a bar on three chairmen of the BNP tent from contesting in the upcoming parliamentary election of December 30.

Following today’s separate orders, BNP nominees Sarker Badal, Tamiz Uddin and Abdul Mohith Talukder have been disallowed to contest in the polls.

A seven-member bench of the Appellate Division headed by Chief Justice Syed Mahmud Hossain passed the order after hearing out separate petitions.

Tamiz Uddin is contesting from Dhaka-20 constituency, Abdul Muhit Talukder from Bogura-3 and Badal Sarker from Bogura-7 respectively.
