Bangladesh ineligible for DV-16 too

Bangladesh is among the 19 countries which are ineligible for the 2016 Diversity Visa (DV) programme of the United States, the US Department of State has announced.

The natives of the countries cannot get the opportunity as the countries sent more than 50,000 immigrants to the US in the last five years, according to the announcement made on Monday.

The other ineligible countries are: Brazil, Canada, China, Colombia, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Haiti, India, Jamaica, Mexico, Nigeria, Pakistan, Peru, Philippines, South Korea, United Kingdom (except for Northern Ireland) and Vietnam.
