The Daily Star ICT Awards ceremony today

“The Daily Star ICT Awards 2019” will be held today in an effort to recognise and encourage extraordinary achievements in Bangladesh’s information and communication technology (ICT) sector.

Dr Gowher Rizvi, the prime minister’s international affairs adviser, is scheduled to be the chief guest at the event in Radisson Blu Dhaka Water Garden, which is the ceremony’s hospitality partner.

The award is being powered by Brac Bank and Daffodil International University and enlightened by the Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS).

Nomination seekers submitted their details by November 20. An independent jury panel evaluated the nominations and selected the winners in five categories.

The categories are: ICT Solution Provider of the Year (Local Market Focus), ICT Solution Provider of the Year (International Market Focus), Digital Commerce of the Year, ICT Startup of the Year and ICT Business person of the Year.
