Rape of 9-Month-Old: Accused surrenders at Ctg court

The accused of raping a nine-month-old baby surrendered before a Chattogram court yesterday.

Mozammel Haque, 26, paternal uncle of the baby, surrendered before the court of Judicial Magistrate of Chattogram, said Bijan Barua, inspector of Chattogram District Court.

The court sent him to jail, he said.

The baby was raped on Tuesday afternoon at their house in East Farhadabad village under Fatickchhari upazila. She is undergoing treatment at Chattogram Medical College Hospital.

Victim’s maternal uncle filed a case accusing Mozammel with Fatikchhari Police Station on Wednesday.
