PM leaves Abu Dhabi for NY

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina left Abu Dhabi yesterday for New York to attend the 74th UN General Assembly after a stopover in the UAE.

She left Abu Dhabi International Airport for John F Kennedy International Airport at 10:45am (local time) by Etihad Airways. Bangladesh Ambassador to the UAE Mohammad Imran saw her off at the airport.

The PM is scheduled to reach John F Kennedy International Airport at 4:40pm yesterday local time (2:40am BST today).

Mohammad Ziauddin, Bangladesh ambassador to the US, and Masud Bin Momen, ambassador and permanent representative of Bangladesh to the UN, will welcome her there.

On Friday afternoon, Hasina departed Dhaka by a special flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines and reached Abu Dhabi on the same day.
