Finance minister is fine, will place budget tomorrow

Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal is “perfectly fine” and he will place his maiden budget in parliament tomorrow as scheduled, the finance ministry said in a press release last night.

The release came after daylong rumours about whether the minister would be able to place the budget on health grounds.

The minister went to the Apollo Hospitals in the capital in the evening only for a routine medical check-up, it added.
