Feni teen alleges rape

A father in Feni filed a case on Tuesday accusing a young man of raping his daughter multiple times over the last one year.

In separate incidents, four suspected rapists were arrested in different districts since Tuesday night.

In Feni, Jamshed Alam Nishan, 18, of Chhagalnaiya was accused of raping a girl several times and attacking her family members during a village arbitration over the rape allegations on Tuesday, said police.

“He fled the area after the case was filed. We are looking for him,” said MM Morshed, officer-in-charge of Chhagalnaiya Police Station.

In Panchagar’s Atwari, police arrested a 62-year-old man for allegedly raping his eight-year-old granddaughter on Tuesday. 

In Jhenaidah’s Moheshpur, police yesterday arrested college student Jihad Hossain, 18, for allegedly raping a four-year-old girl. 

The girl’s family members said, Jihad went their home around 11:00am when the girl was alone and raped her.

Hearing her screams, her mother and neighbours rushed there and rescued her.

Police later arrested him, said Rashedul Alam, OC of Moheshpur Police Station.

In Moulvibazar’s Kulaura, police on Tuesday arrested a man for allegedly attempting to rape his niece on April 28.

The family had been trying to keep the incident a secret against the will of the girl, who on Tuesday went to police and filed a case, said Nur Hossain, sub-inspector of Kulaura Police Station.

In Munshiganj’s Louhajong, police yesterday arrested Billal Hossain, 38, for allegedly raping a seven-year-old girl on Tuesday.
