Death anniversary

Yesterday was the 35th death anniversary of Mahmudun Nabi Tareque, son of Alhaj AKM Nurun Nabi, a retired district registrar, said a press release.

Tareque was the brother of daily Financial Times Editor Anwarul Kabir Shahzada.

He was a meritorious student who used to study at Begumganj Pilot High School in Noakhali, attaining remarkable results.

He died of cardiac arrest at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University in 1985, at the age of 17.

On the occasion, Qurankhwani and doa mahfils will be held today at the mosque adjacent to his Nijpanua village house in Chagalnaiya upazila of Feni, and Shah Saheb Bari Mosque in Momenbagh and Gulbagh Mosque in the capital after Asr prayers.

His family members have requested all to attend the events and pray for the salvation of the departed soul.
