A seven-member committee formed at Dhaka Press Club during a meeting of intellectuals to investigate Al-Badr’s genocide of intellectuals. Zahir Raihan will chair the committee.

More collaborators of the Pakistan military  arrested: Syed Zillur Rahman, former regional direction of Dhaka radio station, Mainuddin, DIG of Police, Md GA Khan from Tejgaon, Dhaka, SM Yusuf, leader of Jamaat, Fayekuzzaman, brother of Gopalganj Muslim League leader Wahiduzzaman, Golam Rabbani, secretary of Jamalpur Mahkuma Muslim League, Nuruzzaman Khan from Shantinagar, Shakil Ahmad from Mirpur, Anis Khan, member of Civil Armed Force, Anwarul Haque from Mirpur, Maolana Shafiullah from Matlab, Cumilla, Shahidullah from Faridganj, Cumilla, Abdul Qayum from Mirpur, Sharif Khan from Olympia Textile Mill, Md Yusuf from Mirpur, Md Siddik from Mirpur, AKM Sirajul Islam, member of Manikganj Peace Committee and Khodadad from Dhaka.

Prime Minister Tajuddin Ahmed in a meeting shows his gratitude towards India and Soviet Union for their support. The youth who fought for the independence would be assigned as national militia, he adds.

Within a short span of time almost 45,000 Pakistan troops will be sent to India, a PTI report says.
