Actor Sushant Singh Rajput found dead

Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead at his Bandra residence in Mumbai. He was 34.

He was found hanging at his home and a domestic help alerted the police, reported Indian media outlets.

Rajput was a prominent TV star, thanks to the popular show PavitraRishta, before venturing into films.

He then debuted into Bollywood with director Abhishek Kapoor's KaiPoChe, based on the book by Chetan Bhagat.

His stardom came with MS Dhoni: The Untold Story, in which he played former India cricket team captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni.

Soon after the actor's sudden demise, his friends from the industry took to social media to express shock and condole Rajput's death.

Singer and music composer Vishal Dadlani and actor Riteish Deshmukh were among the first ones to share the news on Twitter.

Rajput was seen in the Netflix film Drive.
