3 held for forcing girls into porn
3 held in Joypurhat, 4 girls rescued
Rab yesterday arrested three people, including two women, for allegedly forcing college girls to take part in pornographic clips in Joypurhat.
It also rescued four victims in this regard.
The arrestees are Md Suman Ahmed, 29, his wife Mousumi Akter, 20, and Minu Akter, 19, all from Joypurhat Sadar upazila.
Acting on a tip-off, a Rab team from Rajshahi Rab-5, raided Professor Para under Joypurhat municipality, around Saturday midnight and arrested them for allegedly forcing the girls into porn.
It also seized different items, including masks, film making equipment, including a tripod, and condoms, sex stimulants, mobile sets and SIM cards.
MM Mohaiminur Rashid, additional superintendent of police of Joypurhat Rab, said the arrestees were engaged in unsocial activities of a "dance troupe" and often forced the girls to make porn by blackmailing them.
Rab handed over the arrestees to police.
Alamgir Zahan, inspector (investigation) of Joypurhat Police Station, said they would produce the trio before a court after the case is filed.
