26 SPs transferred

In the latest reshuffle in the police administration, 26 superintendents of police were given new postings yesterday.

Police Section-1 of the Public Security Division under the home ministry issued two separate notifications in this regard with immediate effect.

According to a notification, Brahmanbaria SP Md Anwar Hossain Khan and Moulvibazar SP Mohammad Shahjalal have been given posting as Assistant Inspectors General (AIGs) at the Police Headquarters.

Faridpur SP Jakir Hossain Khan, Netrakona SP Joydev Chowdhury, Laxmipur SP ASM Mahtab Uddin, Narsingdi SP Miraj Uddin Ahmed and PHQ AIG Anisur Rahman have been made deputy commissioners of Dhaka Metropolitan Police, while Sunamganj SP Barkatullah Khan has been appointed SP of Highway Police (Admin & Planning).

Natore SP Saifullah Al Mamun has been transferred to Railway Police as its SP while Madaripur SP Subrata Kumar Halder has been attached to Rangpur DIG Range office.

Special Branch SP Abdur Rahim Shah Chowdhury has been posted to Police Training Centre (PTC) as SP, Tangail, SB SP Farhat Ahmed to PTC, Noakhali, as SP, SB SP Saifullah Bin Anwar to PHQ as AIG and DMP DC Masud Ahmed to the CID as SP.

According to the other notification, DMP DC AHM Kamruzzaman has been transferred to Laxmipur as SP while SB SP Mizanur Rahman has been sent to Sunamganj as SP, DMP DC Md Alimuzzaman to Faridpur as SP, AIG of the PHQ Faruque Ahmed to Moulvibazar as SP, DMP DC Liton Kumar Saha to Natore as SP and DMP DC Mohammad Anisur Rahman to Brahmanbaria as SP.

DMP DC Akbar Ali Munshi has been posted to Netrakona as SP while DMP DC ASM Murad Ali has been sent to Meherpur as SP, DMP DC Proloy Kumar Jowarder as Narsingdi SP, DMP DC Mahbub Hasan as Madaripur SP and Meherpur SP Mostafizur Rahman to Satkhira as SP.
