Bicyclist killed in Dinajpur road crash

A bicyclist was crushed to death by a speeding truck in Dinajpur Sadar upazila yesterday.

The victim was identified as Abdul Mojid, 55, a resident of Jariapara village in the upazila.

Police said the man was travelling to Dinajpur town on his bicycle around noon when the accident happened. As he arrived at Karimullahpur village area, he fell after losing control of his bike while crossing a pile of sand deposited on the roadside.

As he stumbled on to the road, a speeding truck crushed him to death on the spot, police said.
