The lawmaker took a patient for medical check-up at the hospital this afternoon.

But he decided to leave the hospital after he heard about the clash going on between BNP activists and law enforcers in Bakshibazar that time.

As he went out of the hospital, a gang wielding sticks attacked him and also set his microbus on fire.

BNP activists clashed with the law enforcers outside a makeshift court at Bakshibazar when it was holding hearing in two graft cases against the party chief Khaleda Zia in her presence.
