Shanu begins working in “Jolrong”

Popular TV actress Shanarei Devi Shanu makes regular appearances in drama serials, and has added one more to her roster. The artiste is a new addition to the cast of the series “Jolrong”. Helmed by Sohel Arman, Shanu plays the role of a social worker called Maya, which she recently shot in Manikganj and Uttara.

“The screenplay highlights the financial struggles of a family,” she told The Daily Star. “I am working with Sohel Arman after a long time; our last venture was a single episode TV play.”

Maya's romantic interest is played by popular singer Agun. “I have delved so deep into her character, that now it feels as though we are the same being. She is truly extraordinary,” Shanu said, about her new role. 

Shanu can also be seen in two drama series on Rtv -- “Oloshpur” and “Gulbahar”, as well as “Mon Chhuyeche Mon” on SATV.
