Rokeya Prachi making new TV series

Actress-director-screenwriter Rokeya Prachi is making a new TV series, named “Tobuo Manush Swopno Dekhe”. About 26 episodes of the series, written by Kamrul Ahsan, has been completed so far. It is scheduled to air on Ekushey TV soon, and Prachi plans to make another 26 episodes for it.

“The story is very relatable, and close to life,” said Rokeya Prachi, adding that while she is not a hundred per cent happy with the production, it will be worth the effort if the audience receives it well.

Prachi will herself be seen in the series as well.

Rokeya Prachi first came to limelight in Morshedul Islam's film “Dukhai”, and has continued to have a successful career on the big and small screen alike. Her first directorial work was a docu-fiction for Channel i, following which she directed “Lutfunnesa”. Her documentary on the Language Movement, titled “Bayanno'r Michhile”, has garnered good reviews. Her first series direction “Selai Poribar” recently finished airing on Channel i recently. She is also busy doing TV serial “Parampara” right now, which is airing on SATV.
