What to watch on television this Eid, part 2

The Daily Star brings you a compilation of some of the finest television shows that will be aired on the top TV channels of the country throughout the festive season.

Stop

Musical Show

At 12 am on chaad raat, Deepto TV will air Eid Music Fest. The show will feature performances from the likes of Hridoy Khan, Tasnim Anika, Pintu Ghosh and Armeen Musa.

Music Buzz, a popular programme on Ekattor TV, featuring various musicians of Bangladesh, is set to air their 700th episode this Eid. For the first time, the hosts Alif Alauddin and Farshid Alam will be seen outside their usual studio, as they visit Artcell’s jamming pad, Maqsoodul Haque’s home and other interesting locations. Music Buzz will air from the first day of Eid till the fourth at 2:30 pm.

Film Premiere

Habibul Islam Habib’s Ratrir Jatri, starring Moushumi, Anisur Rahman Milon, Salahuddin Lavlu and ATM Shamsuzzaman among others, will have its television premiere on Channel i at 2:30 pm, on the first day of Eid-ul-Fitr.

Ekusheyer Eider Dhol

Comedy Show

Popular television personality Imtu Ratish will be gracing the screen with a week-long comedy show titled, Ekusheyer Eider Dhol, starting from the first day of Eid. The show will feature Zahid Hossain Shovon as the guest in all the seven episodes. The duo will discuss the latest films and music videos released during Eid through their comedic take, on Ekushey Television. The programme will air every day at 2:30 pm.

Telefilm

Joy Holo Joydebpure, the Eid-ul-Fitr installment of the Choto Kaku series, will be televised on Channel i at 6:10 pm, starting from the day before Eid till the seventh. The series, featuring eight episodes, is helmed by Faridur Reza Sagor. Afzal Hossain, who is the co-director of the show, plays the role of Choto Kaku.

Stop, starring Tariq Anam Khan and Sadia Islam Mou among others, will be aired on SA TV at 2:30 pm, on the third day of Eid-ul-Fitr. The telefilm is directed by Sajin Ahmed Babu.

Animation

As part of a major undertaking, Duronto TV will broadcast ten different foreign animated cartoons, dubbed in Bangla for the little ones. Some of the animations are Iqbal (Day 1, 3 pm), Robin Hood (Day 1, 10 pm), Cinderella (Day 2, 3 pm), Robin Hood and the Invisible Knight (Day 2, 10 pm), Dinofroz An Island in the Sky (Day 4, 3 pm), Robin Hood: King’s Return (Day 4, 10 pm), Simba Junior in New York (Day 5, 3 pm), and Pocahontas: Princess of the American Indians (Day 5, 10 pm).  Duronto TV will air the different cartoons from the first day of Eid till the fifth.
